Kerra Loves Kids is a non-profit organization whose mission is not only founded on the principles and beliefs that we must encourage growth of our youth by educating and engaging them, but also equip each child with the necessary tools that they need to empower themselves. It is our mission to educate and inspire children worldwide, one book at a time.
Kerra Loves Kids was founded in October 2015 by Kerra Denel; a young driven and passionate Caribbean woman. The organization is based in Trinidad and Tobago, with an office in Canada, and we are currently working on extending our reach to the United States. Kerra’s grandmother Ms. Gloria is the inspiration behind “Kerra Loves Kids.” She was widely known within her community as a loving and caring individual who gave from her heart to those in need; Ms. Gloria gave with no expectations, just solely for the sheer joy and love of people.
Thus far, Kerra Loves Kids has executed many successful book drives within the USA and Canada, and has also recently done charity initiatives in Trinidad & Tobago, giving back to less fortunate children; from renewing libraries, donating electronics, hosting mentorship sessions, reading clubs and sports days etc. Most notably, since the founding of Kerra Loves Kids, we have worked with Operation Smile, Christ Child Convalescent Home, Aunty Anya’s Daycare, St. Mary’s Home, Angel Micheal Healing Tabernacle and Wesleyann Home. As well as Changa House, Impact ‘N Communities, and Stop and Imagine Organization in Toronto, Canada and Figure Skating in Harlem in New York. We have also recently completed a Hurricane Relief Effort for the island of St Maarten.
Our long term vision for Kerra Loves Kids is to grow our organization globally, so that we can motivate our youth to be creative, to dream and to believe that they can and will achieve their highest potential.
